Fishy Business for Fifth Class Explorers

Squidly going where few have gone before, Mr. Leonard’s fifth class bravely tackled the squidgy end of scientific research by getting stuck into some cephalopod dissection.

As part of their participation in the Marine Institute’s Explorer’s Programme, and ably guided by Maria from Galway Atlantaquaria, the children learned some of the fascinating secrets of this amazing creature, very much first-hand. The quest for knowledge can be a smelly one, but it’s worth it!

Standby for publication of our new podcast featuring lots of fascinating information about all things oceanic - it’s a good one!
