A Sample of Science from Claddagh N.S.
This year has been a bumper year for scientific endeavour at Claddagh N.S., with children taking part in a huge range of different projects, culminating in the awarding of the Science Foundation Ireland 2024 Curious Minds Gold Award to the school.
Huge credit must go to the enthusiasm and hard work of Ms. Cullina in organising and pursuing such a fascinating, engaging and highly-valuable variety of scientific engagements for the children.
Just one example of the great learning and sharing of scientific knowledge happening in the school is the Coasts for Kids project, undertaken in collaboration with the Geography Department at the University of Galway. The brilliant videos below feature not only great animation, but some very talented narration by our very own Claddagh students - enjoy!
A Taste of Music from Claddagh N.S.
Music has been a central part of our school community for decades at Claddagh School and, with the dedication of some very talented staff members, continues to grow from strength to strength - whether it is through our brilliant choir, our famous school band or in our dedicated music studio, the Jane Morgan Jennings Studio.
Here is a sample of some of the amazing creative talent being nurtured under Ms. Fahy’s guidance in the studio.

Ceiliúradh na Féile Pádraig ar Lá Glas
Bhí neart imeachtaí ar siúl sa scoil ar Lá Glas, idir damhsa san halla agus cístí draoíchta. Here’s a selection of some of the fantastic outfits and fun activities our junior children experienced for our own little St. Patrick’s Festival - Lá Glas.
Waka Waka - This is St. Patrick's Day!
They've been at it again! The mighty Claddagh School band will not be in the parade this year, but that didn't stop us coming up with this brilliant St. Patrick's Day song from the Claddagh kids (thanks to the creative genius of Ms. Ledwith, Ms. Randles and of course Ms. Fahy, y con muchas gracias tambien a Shakira!)
Galway Utd Players Pay an Inspirational Visit
Soccer fans of all ages in Claddagh School were excited and delighted to welcome members of the Galway United mens’ and womens’ teams to the school today, along with some pretty impressive silverware! As well as generously posing for photos and signing autographs, the players took questions from their enthusiastic audience, and maybe provided a spark of inspiration for some of the future United players in the hall!
